BIG-SF is a forum for technology professionals to discuss emerging trends and market issues. BIG-SF designs panel discussions that address the latest issues, strategies, and best practices affecting the business Internet. BIG-SF provides a premier opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and meet your neighbors.
BIG-SF was formed by The Stencil Group in June of 2000. BIG-SF originally grew out of discussions on the Fat Butterfly mailing list at Net Market Makers. Fat Butterfly is an online forum where B2B and Net Market leaders discuss business models, techniques, and best practices. In 2000, local chapters began emerging across the world that allowed individuals to being to meet in person. Originally formed as San Francisco Net Market Makers, the group changed its name to BIG-SF to more accurately reflect its broad focus on business and technology issues.
BIG-SF is now comprised of nearly 2,000 members. The composition is equally divided between financial, marketing, and sales executives. These individuals represent a mix of banking, product, service and venture capital firms. Average attendance is between 200-300 individuals.
